On the evening of 3/14/17 the Associated Press (AP) has published the following report:
“The White House says President Donald Trump made more than $150 million in income in 2005 and paid $38 million in income taxes that year.”
“The acknowledgement comes as MSNBC host Rachel Maddow says she has obtained part of Trump’s 2005 tax forms.”
“The White House is pushing back pre-emptively, saying that publishing those returns would be illegal.
It says, “You know you are desperate for ratings when you are willing to violate the law to push a story about two pages of tax returns from over a decade ago.”
“The White House adds that it is “totally illegal to steal and publish tax returns” and is bashing the “dishonest media.”
“Trump refused to release his tax returns during the campaign, claiming he was under audit.”
This blog will be updated as new information becomes available.
This data was obtained by David Cay Johnston, a journalist with DCReport.org who received these 2 pages in his mailbox, sent to him anonymously. According to what was said by Rachel Maddow and Mr. Johnston, President Donald Trump paid $38 million dollars in income tax in 2005; reported a $105 million write down with earnings of over $150 million dollars. It is NOT illegal to publish these tax returns which were not solicited and anonymously received.
Let’s just hope someone sends the president’s 2005 IRS tax attachment forms.

I don’t know about this Gronda. After seeing the big reveal on Rachel’s show, it didn’t seem to amount to much. Call me cynical, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the anonymous person who sent Mr. Johnston Trump’s 1040 form may have actually been the WH in an attempt to shift focus away from the wiretapping allegations and The Russia investigation.🤷🏻♀️

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least. The 2005 tax return would have been a good one to leak to distract away from other news. Why weren’t there the attached forms with it?
In 2005, he was married to Melania. So, this is not from an ex spouse who wants to share. There are a limited number of peoples who would have access to these documents.

I believe, though I have no evidence, that Trump himself released these returns as yet another diversionary tactic to draw attention away from other things, such as the investigation into the connection of he and his staff to Russian officials, the DNC hacking by Russia, and perhaps even his own stupidity when he claimed that Obama had “wiretapped” his phones. He reminds me of an animal caught in a trap. I believe the man is in over his head. But the next few days should certainly be interesting, yes? Hugs, my friend!

I’m in total agreement. The one person who stood to gain by this maneuver was DT or his surrogate. There wasn’t enough there, there with just 2 pages of a tax return to have really motivated anyone else.

Dear Roger Williams,
He is the only one who stood to gain by this leak. It didn’t benefit his detractors. Frankly, if this was a set up, the return could be a total fake out, just to show the public that he earned a decent income and that he paid taxes.

Well, this is a start, but I must confess some cynicism regarding which one was released. I would like to see a subpoena which delves into the attachment forms to the tax return. Where is he paying interest on loans, e.g.?

I am suspicious that he is the leak. Once his returns are available for public consumption then I wouldn’t be surprised if there is not a match with the leaked 2005 DT tax return.
He has been tweeting that this is FAKE NEWS! This maybe the one time he is telling the truth.

Like most on here, I do not think that this form is genuine, and way too convenient! Off topic a little, it was just announced a few minutes ago that the FBI will give a classified briefing to the congress about the alleged wiretap. IMO this was made classified at the request of King tRump, so the general public will not have proof of his actual lie involving this situation! Oh, well, look at the bright side, all we have to lose is our nation and freedom!

DT has been busy. I suspect he leaked the 2005 IRS tax return and a couple weeks ago, he tweeted this story about President Obama wiretapping him based on a Breibart story. And he has the media and a whole host of folks chasing their tails to disprove a negative.
We know the truth, DT lied.
