aside Breaking News: Russia Is Willing To Turn Over Records Of President’s Meeting On 5/10/17

Too me, this is the final insult. On 5/10/17, the republican President Donald Trump hosted Russian guests at the White House There was shock when the US press was barred from being present. But TASS, the Russian news agency was granted entry. If the TASS representatives along with their equipment were not subject to an adequate security check, then whatever had occurred during its presence was definitely taped with video and sound features for future usage. The Russians take their intelligence gathering, seriously.

Here is the rest of the story…

On 5/17/17, the Washington Post staff published the following report, “Putin says Russia is ready to hand over records of Trump’s talks with Lavrov to U.S. lawmakers if White House approves.”

“Russian President Vladimir Putin denied that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had relayed any secret intelligence provided by President Trump during a meeting at the White House last week. Putin said “political schizophrenia” had gripped the U.S.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.”

  1. Dear Mz. Gronda,
Thanks for once again providing us with breaking news so quickly!

So let’s put this in the proper perspective, the get a way driver is willing to testify that the man wearing the mask and carrying the gun was not actually the bank robber, it was instead the police officer that responded to the alarm that committed the robbery! Does anyone else see the problem with accepting what tRumps BFF would say as factual? If the events of the last several years were to be written as a screen play, it would not even make it to a grade B movie status, I mean, really who could have ever thought this nation would have come to this point in history!

    • Dear Crustyolemothman,

This slice of history will be studied and written about a lot. We are all a part of this history and we all have a part to play.

Mine is blogging; calling and emailing, tweeting, writing post cards to US legislators, others who are part of the resistance and the media.

  2. Mz. Gronda,
Perhaps we all could use a little amusing news for the morning. While I would not testify to the validity of the following paragraph, it does (if a little thought is given) seem quite possible. Read and laugh at the quagmire that the man has thrust himself into!

“In private, three administration officials conceded that they could not publicly articulate their most compelling — and honest — defense of the president: that Mr. Trump, a hasty and indifferent reader of printed briefing materials, simply did not possess the interest or knowledge of the granular details of intelligence gathering to leak specific sources and methods of intelligence gathering that would do harm to United States allies.”

    • Dear Crustyolemothman,

We now know that the source of the classified data that the president shared with the Russians was from the Israelis. Their officials are taking this fubar on the chin but with the caveat, that this can never happen again.

  3. Gronda, maybe since he has offended the FBI and CIA, he will get his intelligence from the KGB. I was watching two knowledgeable intelligence advisors who served GOP and Democrat presidents. They both said, of course, the president has the power to declassify something, but he needs to be keen on the context and fallout.

He shared classified information with the Russians, who have a modus operandi of deconstructing the intelligence to trace it to it source. And, while the Israeli leadership who likes Trump more than Obama, says they don’t mind, these experts said the intelligence group in Israel does mind.

They added the President must be vetted daily on the intelligence and what can and cannot be shared. And, if shared, what are the repercussions.

But, a key factor is the people in the room knew the President screwed up, so they contacted the CIA to let them know what happened.

    • Dear Keith,

My question has to do with the National Security Adviser General H.R. McMaster, He claimed to have been with DDT the entire time while he was talking to the Russians. Why didn’t he step in to stop DDT from improperly sharing classified data from the Israelis? That is suppose the general’s job.

      • Gronda, good point. Tony Schwartz, who co-wrote “The Art of the Deal,” said Trump is in a “significant meltdown” mode. He added that you cannot tell Trump anything. So, I don’t know if McMaster could have intervened. It has been reported Trump said to another source that he felt like McMaster talked too much, so that is telling, as well.

My guess is with Mueller, folks will be less inclined to circle the wagons around Trump, since he has shown a habit of moving to another location leaving the wagons behind.

        • Dear Keith,

Good points! There has been reporting that things are a bit testy between DDT and his NSA adviser, General H.R. McMaster. Most of wish that DDT was smart enough to let the general take over more on issues having to do with foreign policies and the US national security.

But this general does not think at all like General Flynn. This also makes DDT feel uncomfortable.

  4. And if they did present such documents, are we actually supposed to believe them??? Putin & Trump are in bed together and nothing would convince me that the documents were not doctored in a joint effort by Trump, his “advisors” and Putin. Just more of the games Trump & Putin are playing. Bah!!!

    Hugs!!!
