aside Is This Too Disrespectful? Statutes Of President Trump And Others

If one has to ask the question, then one already knows the answer. It is fun at the expense of others. I did see other statues that would have gone a bit too far. Enjoy!

As per 12/28/17 Time article by Eli Meixler, “A shopping mall in northern China is kicking off the Lunar New Year with an enormous statue of a dog that bears a remarkable resemblance to President Donald Trump.”

“The statue was installed at Fashion Walk Mall in Taiyuan, the capital of China’s northern Shanxi province, to commemorate the coming Year of the Dog. The canine has the President’s characteristic golden coiffure and eyebrows and wears a stern expression while it extends one finger in a classic Trumpian gesture. It’s even sporting a red scarf reminiscent of the President’s trademark power ties.”

  1. Surely it can’t be disrespectful if the subject has earned no respect in the first place? No doubt everyone is committing treason again. Politicians and others all over the world are parodied like this all the time. It goes with the job.

    • Dear David Prosser,

I started thinking about maybe being too disrespectful when I saw one statue that may have fit that category and besides it would have been fake news as President Trump appears to be a small man in every possible way except for his big stomach and his big butt.

I don’t think this compares to some of the art work that republicans did regarding our past democratic President Barack Obama.

I do know that President Trump hates these statues.

  3. I think the statues are boring and enjoy the humor more. I don’t like to see any human being mocked by a statue for that matter. They have families who probably suffer from it, especially their children. —- Suzanne
