It is that time again to push hard against the republican President Donald Trump being able to fire the US Department of Justice’s Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein who is in charge of the FBI’s Trump-Russia probe or the FBI’s Special Counsel Robert Mueller III who is leading the probe. The US attorney General Jeff Sessions’ job may also be in jeopardy because he dared to do the right thing by recusing himself from the FBI’s Trump-Russia probe because of his heavy involvement in the president’s campaign and because he initially omitted to inform through appropriate channels, his contacts with Russian officials during the campaign.

It is important to note that all three professionals have been life-long republicans.

President Trump has been listening to right wing FOX TV pundits and hosts as well as others who are pushing for him to at least fire the DOJ’s acting Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Most republican legislators in the US Senate have been warning the president against taking this step, but to date, their opposition to the president resorting to this tactic, have not been convincing. They have resisted taking a pro-active position by enacting legislation to prevent this firing of key peoples in charge of the FBI’s Trump-Russia probe and the legislation that they are working on, is not sufficiently effective.

I am convinced that the president is poised to act today, the 13th of April 2018 or by the end of the week of April 16, 2018 at the latest. The current consensus is that he plans to at least fire the US Department of Justice’s Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein because he is the person in charge of the FBI’s Tump-Russia Inquiry and because he is the one who could legally fire the FBI’ Special Counsel Robert Mueller III. The president would then replace Mr. Rosenstein with a lackey who would then fire Mr. Mueller.

FOX TV and other right wing media outlets have unleashed an all out attack on the rule of law and the US Department of Justice as well as the FBI personnel.

To counter this marketing campaign against the “rule of law,” the DOJ, the FBI and its leaders who are all republicans which is being sponsored by the Republican National Committee, some long time republicans have created an advertisement to counteract the others’ foolishness.

The president has been motivated to take action because of the president’s personal attorney Michael Cohen having had his office, home and hotel room subjected to an FBI raid on the 9th of April 2018.

The FBI actions against Michael Cohen had been reviewed and approved by the US Department of Justice’s Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein but he then referred the case over to the Southern District of New York, where this Manhattan judicial office is headed by a republican appointed by the president. The standard of evidence is very high and several levels of review were required before the justice officials would deem to sign off on a “no knock” raid warrant but the requirements were met and the FBI raid was implemented. The warrant included the charges of campaign elections’ laws violations as well as bank and wire fraud. It looks like Mr. Cohen’s recordings of numerous conversations with prominent campaign staffers were swept up in this raid.
