Minus the die-hard followers of the republican President Donald Trump, the vast majority of Americans get it, that he was played bigly by N Korea during the June 12th 2018 Singapore summit between President Trump and the N Korean leader Kim Jong-Un. The US president gave away future plans for joint military exercises among S Korean, allied and US military forces within S Korea at the behest of Russia but he got nothing of significance in writing.
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo traveled to meet with N Korean officials starting around 6th of July 2018 to shore up more definitive plans for N Korea’s to denuclearize its nuclear weaponry stockpile. N Korean officials described the State Secretary Pompeo’s style of negotiating as “gangster-like” and the overall success of the meeting as “regrettable.”
While the N Korean Leader Kim Jong-un was too busy to make time to talk with Mr. Pompeo, he was not so occupied to where he managed his busy schedule to tour a potato farm.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un opted to visit a potato farm instead of meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during the latter’s visit to Pyongyang.
“On Tuesday, North Korean state media KCNA revealed that Kim had visited the Junghung potato farm in Samjiyon County, near the border of China. Although it is unclear when exactly he made the trip, it appeared to have been during Pompeo’s visit to the reclusive country.”
“At the farm, Kim reportedly taught workers how to plant high-yield crops. He also instructed staff to “introduce various species good to taste and ensure the quality of processed potato foods in production and thus raise the quality of potato production,” KCNA said.”
“Pompeo was in North Korea on Friday (7/6/18) and Saturday (7/7/18) to discuss the denuclearization deal made between President Donald Trump and Kim during their historic Singapore summit last month. Although the White House announced that Pompeo was set to meet with Kim during his trip, it never happened. Instead, Pompeo met with Kim Yong Chol and other North Korean officials.”
Shortly after Pompeo left Pyongyang, North Korea’s foreign ministry blasted his conduct during the visit as “unilateral and gangster-like.” They also said he failed to put forward anything constructive to help the two sides reach an agreement.”
On Sunday, (As per CNN) Pompeo dismissed the comments. “If those requests were gangster-like, the world is a gangster,” he said. “We had detailed, substantive conversations about the next steps toward a fully verified and complete denuclearization.”

Hey I would prefer growing potatoes too rather than talking to one! Trump doesn’t care about N Korea, it’s all about him and cheap publicity to bolster his ignorant base. N Korea simply took advantage of President Trump with the help of Russia and China. the N Korean leader Kim Jong-un has a right to be reticent to where he does not trust the USA, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t cut a deal but where he verifies US actions as he reduces his nuclear stockpile over time. Any leader would not place his trust in President Trump. Just look at the 2015 Iran Nuclear deal.
Your source has some truth but its content is slanted to the right.

While I agree with your assessment of this conservative-biased source, it doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Kim is smart to be weary of Western promises b/c they tend to be broken time and again. I’m sure what happened to Qaddafi is still fresh in the minds of most leaders. Then Secretary of State Clinton certainly pulled a number in toppling of the Libyan leader. Video interview of Mrs. Clinton is quite disconcerting, and repulsive. Many voters remembered this during the 2016 election, karma this time around took Clinton out!
I’m sure Kim Jong-Un was in no mood to entertain the likes of Pompeo after, “We came, we saw, he died”, shoot from the hip styled US diplomacy!

President Kim Jong-un has gotten everything he wanted to get out of the US- N Korea summit on the 12th of June 2018 to where he doesn’t have to much more.
China has relaxed the sanctions. My gut tells me that their officials are frustrated to have to deal with President Trump.
He is going to have to figure out that his old ways of negotiating by bullying is simply a losing proposition.

While tRump and his cartel might think that threats are the way to negotiate for peace, the rest of the world does not! N. Korea is not one of his golf courses, nor one of his hotels, and attempting to dictate to the leaders of the rest of the world in the same manner as he does one of his own projects, simply will not work.. This man is not Forest Gump, actually he is just the opposite, a man of limited mental ability who does and says stupid things that cannot be twisted into any sort of intelligent thought process.. His trip to England should be humorous to watch as he attempts to avoid the large protests that are planned for his visit. Should we set up a go fund me account to import the Baby tRump balloon to fly over Washington DC upon his return? I would gladly contribute to that cause!!

I would love to chip in to purchase that Trump baby blimp. It should be the democratic party’s symbol.
He has yet to figure out that his bullying type of salesmanship will not go far with nations that have sane leaders unless the leaders are mopping the floor with President Trump like Russia’s President Putin.
He will land in London as the uncle nobody wants to invite but that they have to in order to keep peace in the family.

I am terrified of what will happen if President Trump is not stopped from having his meeting with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin without a credible US witness and/ or note-taker at their get together scheduled for around July 16.
Based on what he did in North Korea, he could surprise his advisers, allies and the US peoples by granting his approval of Russia’s annexing Crimea, Ukraine, or by announcing the withdrawal of US troops from Syria or whatever else he can think of on the spot.
