Well, it looks like the US Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh does suffer from aggressive behaviors while drunk, a fact that he firmly denied at the 9/27/18 US Senate Judiciary Committee hearing as he was answering senators’ questions regarding Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations of being sexually assaulted by Judge Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge during their high school years.
Here’s what the New York Times reported…
On October 1, 2018, Emily Bazelon and Ben Protess of the NewYork Times penned the following report, “Kavanaugh Was Questioned by Police After Bar Fight in 1985″
Excerpts:
“As an undergraduate student at Yale, Brett M. Kavanaugh was involved in an altercation at a local bar during which he was accused of throwing ice on another patron, according to a police report.”
The incident, which occurred in September 1985 during Mr. Kavanaugh’s junior year, resulted in Mr. Kavanaugh and four other men being questioned by the New Haven Police Department. Mr. Kavanaugh was not arrested, but the police report stated that a 21-year-old man accused Mr. Kavanaugh of throwing ice on him “for some unknown reason.”
“A witness to the fight said that Chris Dudley, a Yale basketball player who is friends with Mr. Kavanaugh, then threw a glass that hit the 21-year-old man in the ear, according to the police report, which was obtained by The New York Times.”
“The report said that the victim, Dom Cozzolino, “was bleeding from the right ear” and was treated at a hospital. A detective was notified of the incident at 1:20 a.m.”
“Mr. Dudley denied the accusation, according to the report. For his part, speaking to the officers, Mr. Kavanaugh did not want “to say if he threw the ice or not,” the police report said.”
“The report referred to the altercation, which occurred at a bar called Demery’s, as “an assault.” It did not say whether anyone was arrested, and there is no indication that charges were filed.”
“On one of the last occasions I purposely socialized with Brett, I witnessed him respond to a semi-hostile remark, not by defusing the situation, but by throwing his beer in the man’s face,” Mr. Ludington said in the statement. Mr. Ludington, a professor at North Carolina State University, said he came forward because he believed Judge Kavanaugh had mischaracterized the extent of his drinking at Yale.”
“Mr. Ludington said that he had been in touch with the F.B.I.”
“He said that the altercation happened after a UB40 concert on Sept. 25, when he and a group of people went to Demery’s and were drinking pints. At one point, they were sitting near a man who, they thought, resembled Ali Campbell, the lead singer of UB40.”
“We’re trying to figure out if it’s him,” he said.”
“When the man noticed Mr. Ludington, Mr. Kavanaugh and the others looking at him, he objected and told them to stop it, adding an expletive, Mr. Ludington said.”
“Mr. Kavanaugh cursed, he said, and then “threw his beer at the guy.”
“The guy swung at Brett,” Mr. Ludington continued. At that point, Mr. Dudley “took his beer and smashed it into the head of the guy, who by now had Brett in an embrace. I then tried to pull Chris back, and a bunch of other guys tried to pull the other guy back. I don’t know what Brett was doing in the melee, but there was blood, there was glass, there was beer and there was some shouting, and the police showed up.”
Demery’s, which closed in 1994, was a well-known bar that served big slices of pizza and cheap beer, especially after 9 p.m. It drew a crowd that included “older Yalies and younger ones with good fake IDs,” according to thepolitic.org.
Several Yale classmates, including a former roommate and Mr. Ludington, have described Judge Kavanaugh as sometimes aggressive when he was drinking.

So the wannabe Governor proves himself to be an adept politician, he lies through his teeth. And finally a police report shows Kavanaugh has the temper we hear about. That alone should be enough to stop him.

Dear Gronda, the former Asst Dir for counter intel for the FBI, Mr Frank Figliuzzi thinks that the WH is saying one thing but the reality is still the same thing in respect to the depth or conclusions that will be able to be drawn from the FBI limited in scope and time investigation. Are you able to confirm that the investigation will have broader and further reaching investigative direction from the WH. I pray that my info is incorrect, but at this stage, K will be nominated and sort the shit out after pending the mid term results.

Dear Gary J.,
The FBI kept leaking info that their attempts to conduct an investigation/ background check was being hampered by Judge Kavanagh’s close personal friend and the White House Counsel Don McGahn. This is one time that president Trump doesn’t seen as so invested in Judge Kavanaugh as Don McGahn has been.
The leaks have ended. It appears that the FBI has been granted greater reign to conduct its probe into the history of Judge Kavanaugh.
But the Washington Post is indicating that the FBI in not specifically delving into his past drinking problems which was when he demonstrated acting out behaviors.

Did tRump actually do so? Did you hear him say that the investigation was being controlled by members of the Senate? This information and any other information that is derogatory will be simply glossed over as a youthful indiscretion… Hmmm, these very same senators were prone to keep mentioning what President Obama did when he was only about 8-10 years old as being very relevant… Might as well get used to it, as this man will soon be voted on and crammed down our throats with no regard to decency!

Barring another miracle, you are right. The GOP senators are determined to fast track this guy through the US Supreme Court confirmation process, damn the torpedoes.
All I can say is that this guy better not have other serious sexual assault charges presented against him or he and his GOP cronies can count on impeachment proceedings.
If they win this round, they could lose the war. What’s worth this risk when there are other qualified conservative justices out there? I don’t get it. I still say that I’m missing a piece of the puzzle.

As of 10/3/18, The FBI again are leaking that the president has widened / increased the scope of what they are allowed investigate by the most minimum amount possible. The White House is still micro-managing its ability for the FBI AGENTS TO DO A COMPETENT JOB.

Gronda, this report is corroboration that a witness is telling the truth about Kavanaugh and is something Kavanaugh failed to reveal to the committee. The more they look, the more they will find.
At some point, the GOP leaders would be better served to pull his nomination. If they vote and fail to approve, that would look poorly on them for voting on a flawed man. If they approve, the female backlash will be greater than in would otherwise be.
Again, the President is the last person who should opine on sexual assault and harassment having bragged about it in an at least three interviews. Keith

Dear Keith, K lied at the minimum 5 times to questioning in the hearing and yet there was no disposition to clarify or rectify, there is great importance to simply get him in. An impeachment process would take some time, within which major and decisive situations regards *the Russia investigation *Roe v Wade and indeed, impeachment of the potus where his partisan leanings could still affect history bigly. Please forgive me if I seem impertinent, I am often wrong. I always appreciate your perspicacious comments on this outstanding blog site.

Dear Keith,
My biggest concern regarding Judge Kavanaugh is his hard-line partisanship which should be a bar to him becoming a US Supreme Court justice.
My worry is that the GOP are placing him in the US Supreme Court justice because of his partisanship.
You and I both know that there are qualified decent intellectually honest conservatives like Judge Scalia who should be under consideration instead of this flawed character.
