Breaking News: Explosive Packages Blocked From Being Mailed To Obama/ Clinton

It appears that the favorite pinatas of the republican President Donald Trump’s ire like President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and George Soros have been targeted by a ne’er do well. Three packages with rudimentary explosive devices have been mailed to their homes, so far.

Update on October 26, 2018: By October 26, 2018, postal workers and others have discovered 12 manila packaged bombs mailed / sent to Democratic Party stars who have been known critics of President Trump. Additional recipients of these bomb-manila envelop packages include the VP Joe Biden, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, US Senator Cory Booker, US Representative Maxine Waters, former CIA Director James Brennan via CNN, Robert De Niro.

With the exception of George Soros, the suspicious packages/ pipe bombs/ manila envelop mailed to the homes of Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama have been intercepted by Secret Service agents/ law enforcement/ postal workers.

There was no chance that the intendees  for these pipe bomb packages have been in any danger. But those who handled those packages have been exposed to possible harm. The package for George Soros had been found in his mail box. When an employee picked it up, he dropped it in a nearby wooded area and law enforcement was contacted.

Of course, President Trump’s administration and law enforcement are taking these attempts at violence, seriously.

The president’s rhetoric against these public servants/ American citizens are well documented on video at his numerous campaign rallies, and have to be considered a contributing factor in creating the vitriolic political environment where this widespread act of domestic terrorism was inevitable.

For example, it has been the right wing pundits plus the US president who have been making the claim that it was George Soros who funded the refugee caravan fleeing from Honduras heading to the USA, which is an outright lie. We’ve all heard about the “lock her up” chants against Hillary Clinton at the rallies conducted by President Trump. Everyone is aware of President Trump’s antipathy towards President Obama.

There has been news reporting about another suspicious package mailed to CNN in New York on the 24th of October 2018. A the packages under discussion have similarities in construction. The package- envelop mailed to CNN was addressed to the former CIA Director John Brennan, who had been stripped of his security clearances by President Trump for being critical of his administration. It was discovered in the Time Warner mail delivery room. The CNN employees were evacuated for hours.

It is being reported that the return address belongs to Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

But because of the return address, Sunrise Police have confirmed  that they’re investigating at the Sunrise offices of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz Wednesday (10/24/18).

Sunrise Police said they responded to the address of the office of the Democratic rep for Florida’s 23rd congressional district. Footage showed a Broward Sheriff’s Office bomb squad unit and firefighters responding to the building.

There has been another intercepted package addressed to the former Attorney General Eric holder which had never been delivered but then mailed back to the return address in Sunrise, Fl. and then another to Maxine Waters.

Update 10/24/18: There have two other bomb packages found that were mailed to Democratic Party who’s who, VP Joe Biden and a Tribeca grill restaurant in NYC owned by Robert De Niro.

Here’s the rest of the story…

As per the 10/24/18 USA Today report, “The package addressed to Clinton was sent to her home in Westchester County, New York, and discovered late Tuesday night (10/23/18). The package sent to Obama was sent to Washington, D.C., and intercepted Wednesday morning (10/24/18).”

“The packages were immediately identified during routine mail screening procedures as potential explosive devices and were appropriately handled,” the Secret Service said in a statement. “The protectees did not receive the packages nor were they at risk of receiving them.”

“New Castle police said (10/24/18) that they helped federal authorities respond to the incident involving Clinton, which is under investigation.”

The incidents come 2 days after an explosive device was found in the mailbox of a Bedford home owned by billionaire philanthropist and liberal political activist George Soros.

  2. Gronda, I just wrote this comment on Jill’s blog. Quite simply, this stuff has to stop. No one deserves to die in our country based on their political persuasion or for any other reason, except maybe if a life is truly threatened. The same story could be said about the person who shot up the GOP baseball practice last year. The same could be said for white supremacist running over twenty people in Charlottesville, killing one….It goes on.
    We need the President and others to dial down the rhetoric which is a nice word for BS. We need for them to quit demonizing the opposing party. We need for the President to stop lying and start telling more truths than he does not. He lies to his followers more than anyone.
    I am an independent. Neither party has all the good ideas and both have some bad ones. But, I am tired of the President, who is supposed to represent all the people, reveal our worst habits on an hourly basis. I am tired of sycophantic politicians telling people like him who espouse this BS not being hypercritical. More leaders need to call these people on the carpet, especially the President.
    I am tired of politicians focusing on keeping their jobs. We need them to do their jobs. I just read Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan secretively called CEOs who pulled out of Trump’s Economic Council after his horrible Charlottesville response. How about telling the public out loud and in full force that the President is dead wrong on this and should be ashamed? We are Americans and we fought the Nazis.
    I would say the same thing if someone sent a bomb to the White House. This stuff has to stop. Each politician and especially the President need to look in the mirror. That is who needs to change. Keith

    • PS – I contacted my two Senators and Mitch McConnell pleading with them to show the leadership toward making us more civil that is lacking in the White House. This divisiveness starter before Trump, but he has made it worse. He acted presidential for 1/2 a day before returning to form.

      I asked them to call him on the carpet for his lying and bullying. He needs to stop actions like a pathetic little man and start acting like the leader we need him to be. Keith

        Thanks for doing this. I am so angry for the republican Trumpians being mum on this subject, backing most of President Trump’s plays and lies.

        They are all complicit. When a left winger took shot at republicans playing a ball game, Bernie Sanders immediately condemned these actions as well as democratic leaders.

        You, Jill , me and others have decried those Dems who want to confront republicans while they are having dinner or out with family. That does not mean that Dems should act like milk toast. They just need to learn to fight back smarter. Nothing is gained by Dems getting in the mud with the likes of the GOP tactics.

        That said, there is no comparison to the above rhetoric to the president’s use of the bully pulpit to demonize others, bully them, promote violence, ugly discourse, in full view at his numerous rallies. The GOP law makers’ silence is deafening.

        Thanks for contacting GOP leaders like Mitch McConnell to let them know that their silence has been noticed.

        No matter what, this vitriolic discourse has to end.

      I was very pleased today when the FBI head said that these pipe bombs were not hoaxes and even the AG Sessions said that his act of domestic terrorism was for real.
