We are at a war, a bloodless coup, where the USA democracy is under threat by the GOP MAGA coalition of becoming an autocracy.

Currently, while the GOP infrastructure of voters, legislators to media gurus and wealthy donors have coalesced to fully support their very truth-challenged, felonious, flawed, elderly GOP MAGA presidential nominee, the democrats have been airing all of their dirty laundry for public consumption equal to an extremely dysfunctional democrat party’s reality show.

The GOP MAGA coalition consists mostly of White Evangelicals Christians, GOP wealthy and corporate CEO donors, conservative business leaders, zealous 2nd amendment gun owners, White Nationalists, and Trumpian cult-like voters dominated by White non-college educated working Americans who feel unfairly treated economically and culturally by the other (name the minority). They all believe that they’re saving the country that they love from all those non-patriots who believe differently and who are the majority in our US democracy. They’re firmly convinced that they can bend the USA peoples to their will if the US democracy undergoes a transition into autocracy and they’re united to accomplish their mission.

 

This GOP MAGA coalition knows that they can’t win the fight to save their country from the clutches of those with different values without marching in lock step in support of their very willing Trojan Horse, presidential nominee, no matter how flawed. They have the wind on their backs with the recent US Supreme Court rulings, the US electoral college system having the final say as to the presidential winner versus the popular vote, the Project 2025 blueprint to ensure that the US government reflects their values. And they see victory in sight as they watch non-Trumpian voters, Democrats floundering and in disarray.

Here’s the number one problem that Democrats need to address bigtime and hopefully it’s not too late. When 75% of swing state voters who responded to a May 2024 Morning Consult poll believe that President Biden is responsible for a poor economy, this consensus can’t be ignored, and a substitute presidential nominee won’t fix the perception that has set in for average Americans. So, while non-Trump political operators fixate on the president’s age, they’re not educating swing state voters about how the GOP MAGA ex-president will definitely make their financial woes, worse; how the president has been working hard to lift up the plight of average workers; and they’re not coming up with immediate solutions to provide a lifeline to those most affected by inflation, those earning less than $50,000 per year (1/2 of US population).

And this is why informing the public about the content of Project 2025 is crucial. Most average earning Americans who become educated about Project 2025 will become very clear-eyed about how much worse their economic circumstances will become under a Trump administration. It’ll be the very rich who’ll become even richer.

Average Americans don’t understand how autocratic governments evolve. Once elections become pro-forma where the dictator remains in power for many years, the voters will have lost the power of their vote to demand change.

The level of nitpicking over whether he should go, or should he stay reflects the defeatist attitude of losers. Are Democrats fully endorsing the year-long GOP MAGA propaganda campaign machine about POTUS Joe Biden’s ageism issues, that the election is already in the bag for the ex-president, and that the democrat’s nominee can’t win? Do they realize that their public display of doubt in him is so unsettling to the base that it could cause many to stay home, resulting in additional losses for Democrat candidates. There’ll not be more GOP MAGA candidates winning elected positions solely because of President Biden’s age issues, but the fault will be laid at the feet of all the non-Trump voters who failed to fully have the back of President Biden by buckling up to implement a winning strategy.

So far, the democrat President Joe Biden has been carrying the ball, solo mio. He’s planning to come forward with proposals for Supreme Court reforms and he’s publicly listed what he hopes to accomplish in the 1st 100 days of his 2nd term as well as providing a stark contrast between him and his opponent.

President Biden is zeroing on Project 2025 as being nothing less than (an ultra-right off-shoot of ALEC) Heritage Foundation’s blueprint of how the GOP MAGA ex-president plans to transform government by morphing US democracy into an autocracy. Conservative Christian leaders, corporate CEOs and right-wing very wealthy political activists sponsored Project 2025 via The Heritage Foundation, an offshoot of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), an organization formed in 1973 to better lobby republican party lawmakers in enacting laws/ policies favorable to their interests.

The unpopular goals of conservative GOP millionaires/ billionaires/ business CEOs paying less in taxes, the ending of government regulations, the gutting of safety net programs, etc. can now come more easily to fruition if the GOP MAGA ex-president wins the presidency and oversees the USA transition from democracy to autocracy.

In 2016, the wannabe autocratic leader and the ex-president of today, accrued power by adding millions of 1st time voters, mostly White non-college educated working-class folks to the GOP MAGA base of voters. These cult-like supporters follow the ex-president as if he’s the Pied Piper and GOP candidates have learned the hard way that they can’t win elections without the backing of the ex-president’s base. The rest is history…

But, once voters learn what’s in the ultra-conservative Project 2025’s blueprint on how the MAGA ex-president’s administration plans to morph US democracy into an autocracy, and how the economic well-being of most Americans will be made much worse, they’ll be running in droves to the polling booths to cast ballots for all democrat candidates.

For democrat party candidates to win in 2024, the focus should be about saving US democracy with its associated freedoms for ALL Americans versus freedoms being reserved solely for a minority, the GOP MAGA coalition. Democrats need to give voice to how the lifting up of all American’s economic stability is a top priority and not just for the very wealthy and corporate CEOs.
