Insanity: Porn Stars Chime in on Elections/ Rumors of FEMA Executing Evacuees/ Other FEMA Lies

13 hilarious cartoons that skewer Donald Trump | The Week

Now why as a 75-year-old grandmom had I not thought of the following tactic to turn young men away from voting in favor of the GOP MAGA ex-president? While I’m not a fan of porn products, it turns out that a good percentage of young men are consumers of pornography which Project 2025 plans to ban.

Then there’s the most recent conspiracy theory going viral that FEMA officials are planning to execute between 70,000 to 80,000 evacuees. This is a case of an official saying the word execute incorrectly but then quickly correcting himself with the word, “evacuate.”

This is just one of many rumors circulating in the worldwide web sites. One of the worst examples is that the US government has diverted $1 billion dollars from FEMA to care for migrants.

By the way, any talking points by the GOP MAGA ex-president or his pick for vice-president JD Vance attempting to disassociate themselves from Project 2025 are no more credible than Donald Trump distancing himself from the GOP MAGA gubernatorial NC candidate whom he had previously described as MLK on steroids or from the abortion bans that he had previously claimed credit.

Incidentally, Senator JD Vance has written the forward for Project 2025 when it gets published in book form post November 2024 elections.

As per the October 7, 2024 New York Times report by Jonathan Weisman, “Porn Industry Jumps Into the Presidential Campaign, Targeting Project 2025:”

Excerpts:

“Just when you thought everyone had already jumped into the 2024 campaign, here come the porn stars.”

“Seventeen pornographic film actors on Monday announced that they had launched a $100,000 ad campaign on porn sites warning that Project 2025 — the Heritage Foundation blueprint for a Republican administration that has been a centerpiece of some Democratic campaigns — wants to ban pornography and imprison people who produce it. The online ads will run in the states that will decide the presidency: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada.”

“The architects of the “hands off my porn” campaign are nothing if not aware of the polling. Vice President Kamala Harris is losing to former President Donald J. Trump among men, but younger men might be winnable — and pornographic websites are among the most heavily trafficked on the internet.”

“Quoting the Survey Center on American Life, the group said younger men are the biggest consumers of the industry’s products: Among men aged 18-29, 44 percent had watched porn within the past month. Among men aged 30-49, it was 57 percent.”

As per the October 7, 2024 Snopes (MSN) fact checking post by Jordan Liles, “Fact Check: Truth Behind Claim FEMA Said It Would Execute 70K:”

Excerpts:

Claim:

“An audio clip authentically features a FEMA official saying, “We plan to execute between 70,000 and 80,000 … we plan to evacuate between 70,000 and 80,000 people.”

Rating:

Miscaptioned (About this rating?)

“A rumor circulating online in early October 2024 claimed that an audio clip featured a U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) official saying, “We plan to execute between 70,000 and 80,000,” and then correcting the statement to, “We plan to evacuate between 70,000 and 80,000 people.” Social media users shared videos showing their reactions to the audio, without displaying the person speaking the words.”

“As for the rumor, the audio clip originated from a matter having nothing to do with FEMA. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin misspoke the “execute” line during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 28, 2021. His statement featured the past-tense word “planned” rather than the present or future-tense “plan.” The moment occurs in this C-SPAN video at the 22:13 mark, and can also be viewed below from a post on X.”

NC Official: False Helene Claims Are ‘Heartbreaking’

“We previously reported about the many false and unfounded claims circulating online about Helene, for example concerning the devastated mountain village of Chimney Rock, North Carolina.”

“Kerri Giles, a local resident who holds the post-Helene role of public information officer for the emergency operations center in Rutherford County, told us of online misinformation efforts, “It is heartbreaking when you are on the front lines with the sole mission of trying to save people, and people want to sit and throw darts at you. Your front-line people are some of the best humans you’ll ever meet. And it is hard to process that much, and it’s a waste of resources.”

Screenshot from X taken October 7, 2024There’s a viral video on TikTok where a man who’s crying while detailing how the $750.00 that FEMA gives to storm victims is not for free and how they shouldn’t accept this help.

Here’s the text:

“The $750 is a loan. It’s not free. They’re not giving it to you. It’s a loan,” a man says through tears and against the backdrop of dramatic music in an October 4, 2024 TikTok video with more than 425,000 views.”

“And if you don’t pay back that $750 loan within a year, they’re going to seize your property. So do not take the money.”

This is an absolute falsehood. FEMA personnel hands out $750.00 with no strings to help traumatized folks to be able to purchase necessities.

For opinion pieces like the one below, is why I’ve cancelled my WSJ subscription. In the op-ed piece, note how JD Vance keeps referring to North Carolina, a swing state led by a democrat governor. The Wall Street Journal recently published the litany of lies shared by the GOP MAGA vice-president nominee, Senator JD Vance, without censure or fact checking:

Excerpts:

“During times of crisis and war, presidential leadership is critical to cut through competing bureaucratic fiefs and protect Americans from death and devastation. The Biden-Harris response to Hurricane Helene, the deadliest storm since Katrina, has the people of the Southeast and especially Appalachia paying an extraordinary price for the administration’s incompetence.”

“Shortly after Helene made landfall in the U.S. on Sept. 26, Joe Biden was at his house in Rehoboth Beach, Del. Vice President Kamala Harris was flying between ritzy California fundraisers, hobnobbing with celebrities. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was in Los Angeles, presiding over an awards ceremony. Before the storm, Ms. Harris had blown off her disaster-response briefings. The lack of prioritization had real-world ramifications.”

We're Not Going Back

“While Ms. Harris and Mr. Biden flouted their duties, a bureaucratic bottleneck was delaying the deployment of active-duty military personnel to the western mountains of North Carolina. On Oct. 2, six days after the storm made landfall, the Defense Department announced that 1,000 troops had been authorized to deploy to the hurricane-response zone, including elements of the 82nd Airborne Division from Fort Liberty, N.C. These troops bring with them debris-clearing and water-purification equipment—critical resources for communities with blocked roads and orders to boil drinking water. As evening fell on Friday, Oct. 4, fewer than half of the 1,000 troops were conducting operations and deployed to Western North Carolina.”

“Deployment delays became severe enough that NC Sens. Ted Budd and Thom Tillis issued a joint statement on Oct. 4 calling for “an active-duty military leader who has extensive experience with operations of this magnitude to lead moving forward.” The statement seemed to have an effect: The rest of the active-duty forces were deployed by the evening of Oct. 6, and the Pentagon authorized an additional 500, including advanced command-and-control resources.”

“In disaster response, every second counts. A week went by while the citizens of North Carolina suffered without the equipment and soldiers needed to save lives and begin recovery.  Ms. Harris and Mr. Biden treated the situation like a public-relations disaster.”

“Federal Emergency Management Agency staff are working hard. The agency’s response to Helene has been praised in some quarters and criticized elsewhere. But it too has been the victim of misplaced Biden-Harris political priorities. Under Ms. Harris and Mr. Biden, FEMA has funneled millions of dollars to nongovernmental organizations whose stated goal is facilitating mass migration into the U.S. The effort stems from a White House directive to reorient FEMA’s institutional focus away from U.S. citizens and toward aliens who.ve no legal right to be here.”

    • Hi!

Thanks a million for your support and for this reblog!

Let your readers know NOT to let lies keep them from reaching out to FEMA. If they’ve been affected by Hurricane Milton, they can go to http://www.DisasterAssistance.gov and FEMA will provide $1200 if they have been without power for 24 hours…And if they let FEMA know that they’re without food and in danger of going hungry, FEMA will grant $750.00. FEMA can also help with hotel accommodations for those without power for days and/ or those who can’t return home.

    • Hi!

It’s sad that GOP MAGA cultists buy into all these lies especially when the most minimal of research via Google can either verify or disprove any claims made by anyone. It’s as if they’d rather believe the lies.

  2. Wny are you repeating the lies, Gronda? Leave them where they belong, on the cutting room floor. Refute them by making positive statements about what is really happening! Don’t compare and contrast. Just tell the truth about what is going on and what is being done!
