I have to ask, is the GOP MAGA ex-president trying to lose the 2024 presidential elections? At the October 27th Trump packed rally at Madison Square Gardens in New York City, the hate fest of thousands of GOP MAGAs was joyfully steeped in hateful, racist, sexist, anti-sematic, grievance driven, demeaning, vulgar rhetoric laced with profanities by all the speakers. A headline comedian Tony Hinchcliffe joked to a laughing, raucous crowd about how Puerto Rico is a “floating island of hot garbage” as he also insulted other minority groups. During the rally, Rudy Giuliani’s slamming of Palestinians didn’t help their cause with Arab voters in swing states.
The New York Daily News published a headline titled, “Trump’s MSG event turns into ugly racist rally, speakers insult Puerto Ricans, Blacks, Jews,” while The Associated Press wrote a headline called “Trump’s Madison Square Garden event turns into a rally with crude and racist insults.”

The GOP MAGA ex-president’s campaign wasn’t quick enough, to rebuke the racist joke targeting Puerto Rico at Sunday night’s Madison Square Garden rally. The 900,000 Puerto Ricans scattered across the 2024 presidential election’s battleground states are likely to respond, accordingly.
As per the New York Times, “Before Mr. Trump had even taken the stage, warm-up speakers had called Puerto Rico an “island of garbage,” referred to Ms. Harris as “the devil” and “the Antichrist,” and made racist or derogatory remarks about Latinos generally, African Americans, Palestinians and Jews.”
“Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota just spoke in Henderson, Nev., where he noted that in 1939, a Nazi rally was held at an earlier location of the Garden, which now hosts the New York Knicks and Rangers. “There is a direct parallel to a rally that happened in the 1930s at Madison Square Garden,” Walz said. “And don’t think that he doesn’t know for one second exactly what they’re doing there.”
“JD Vance, the Republican vice-presidential nominee, said on Sunday that he agreed with former President Donald J. Trump that some of his Democratic opponents posed a bigger threat to the United States than foreign adversaries. Later, he downplayed the Puerto Rican slur as folks being overly sensitive.

As per the October 28th Politico report, “According to estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 470,000 people of Puerto Rican descent live in Pennsylvania, 132,000 in North Carolina and 124,000 in Georgia. Tens of thousands more are living across Arizona, Wisconsin, Nevada and Michigan.”
Yes, news reports are indicating that Puerto Ricans have taken the slurs by GOP MAGAs to heart and will be voting against the MAGA ex-president in droves.
The following Salon article details how ugly it got…
Excerpts:
“Silver gathered plenty of evidence to back up his theory that the Comey letter and the subsequent media frenzy so close to the 2016 election was decisive in Clinton’s loss. Why do I bring that up now? Well, that event happened exactly eight years ago today. You may remember the famous NY Times front page the next morning:”
“The event was packed and it went on for hours as his rallies are wont to do. The speakers were pretty much uniformly crude, extreme and insulting in one way or another. It got off to a roaring start with radio host Sid Rosenberg calling Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff a “crappy jew” and keeping it classy by saying, “She is some sick b***ard, that Hillary Clinton. What a sick son of a b**ch. The whole f***ng party. A bunch of degenerates. Lowlives, Jew-haters, and lowlives. Every one of ’em. Every one of ’em.” So that was nice.”

“Another speaker, David Rem, supposedly a childhood friend of Trump’s (apparently not true) said, “Kamala Harris is the devil! She is the Antichrist!” A real estate expert named Grant Cardone took to the podium to declare that the former California attorney general, senator and current vice president is “the least qualified person to ever run for any office in America” and claims that she has “pimp handlers,” which I think has a pretty clear implication.”
“After Trump the day before had made a big pitch to American Muslims to vote for him, Rudy Giuliani showed up and slammed Palestinians:”
“The Palestinians are taught to kill us at 2 years old. They won’t let a Palestinian in Jordan.. in Egypt. And Harris wants to bring them to you.”
“Trump’s transition chief, Howard Lutnick, yelled “we must crush Jihad!” and waxed on about the 1890s when America was great while Trump’s top adviser Steven Miller really brought home the 1939 vibes with his declaration that “America is for Americans!” (It sounded better in the original German: Nur für Deutsche a genuine Nazi slogan.) RFK Jr. was there too, ranting about the “corruption at the CDC, the FDA, the NIH and the CIA.” Trump later promised him, “I’m gonna let him go wild on health. I’m gonna let him go wild on the foods. I’m gonna let him go wild on the medicines.” And Tucker Carlson took the stage to huge applause, laughing maniacally and delivering a crude racist insult toward Kamala Harris.”

“Those are just the highlights of some of the introductory speeches before Trump came on and did his usual shtick which had people leaving the venue in droves.”
But there was one very special speech given by a “comedian” at the start of the event. His name is Tony Hinchcliffe and he apparently has a very popular podcast. He got the whole event rolling:”
“He also had a gag about hanging out with a Black friend and instead of carving pumpkins, they carved a watermelon. But this Puerto Rico “joke” caused a sensation and not for nothing. In this very tight race, Trump is depending on making inroads among Latino voters to make up for his losses among white college-educated suburbanites. The line immediately went viral.”

“As luck would have it, Kamala Harris happened to be in Pennsylvania at that very moment making a pitch to Puerto Rican voters (there are almost half a million of them in the state) when word of the insult hit the internet. Within a matter of minutes, we saw Puerto Rican megastar Bad Bunny, soon followed by Rickey Martin and J Lo, (with a combined 315 million followers on Instagram alone) all endorsing Harris and criticizing Trump. Florida politicians immediately began to denounce the comment. The Trump campaign was soon forced to come forward and announce it didn’t reflect their position. All of this happened as the rally was still going on!”
“Of course, everything that was said in that rally should disqualify Trump in the minds of decent people everywhere. I’ll never understand how any of that is considered normal political discourse now. But specifically insulting a group that’s necessary for victory is just plain dumb even for them. All it takes is just a point or two in the right place (for) the death blow.”

Hi!
During this past week, the GOP MAGA ex-president’s rhetoric have been so sick, racist, vulgar that I’ve been wondering if he’s trying to lose this election.
Again, thanks a million for the reblog.

It was sickening, no doubt about it. But his faithful followers are so intoxicated by him, they no longer are able to think clearly. We can only hope there are enough sober folks that will VOTE BLUE!

Hi!
I’ve no doubt that the GOP MAGA ex-president’s supporters will vote for him no matter what he says or does, but the ugly rhetoric will turn off last minute independent and women voters which can result in a favorable outcome for VP harris.

I’m not sure where I heard this remark, probably on one of the MSNBC podcasts or maybe CNN, but it was flatly stated, “Any campaign that has to seriously back-pedal a week before the election…is in trouble.” I actually had an hour or so of relief.

Hi!
What I noticed is that while the Trump campaign attempted to backtrack, the GOP MAGA ex-president made no such effort. In the past couple of weeks his political acumen has taken a nosedive to where I’m wondering if he’s deliberately trying to lose.

I have often wondered about the things Trump says, many of which would guarantee I never vote for him. They seem deliberate, and calculated to ensure decent people vote against him. The question is: Why would he do that?
We all know Trump cannot control where his thoughts go, anything that comes into his head comes out his mouth without censorship. And I think some part of him does not want the job of President of the USA. He scares himself!
And if he scares himself, he really should scare honest hard-working decent Americans. Give him his wish! VOTE BLUE!

Hi!
I’ve been asking the same question. It’s as if the GOP MAGA ex-president is doing everything possible to lose this election. He has literally lost his mind or he’s committing political malpractice by resorting to ugly behaviors and rhetoric guaranteed to turn off independent and women voters.
