Paris, nos coeurs sont avec vous. We are so saddened to witness your needless suffering and tragedy imposed on you, our good friends with your enchanting Paris and country. We cry with you.
November 13, 2015 was another surreal day which will be etched forever in our minds. Parisians were enjoying a lovely day doing their typical activities of working, going for a promenade, sitting in a cafe while people watching, savoring a delicious meal with friends, screaming at a soccer game, chasing children through the park gardens, touring and shopping while taking pleasure in all the surrounding sights, sounds and smells. In a moment, their peace was temporarily stolen from them by the face of evil. Now all of us share in their loss, nightmarish shock and mourning.
Around the world, we were living in a dream, to be awoken by terror in the streets of Paris, as we viewed our TV sets. I and a friend were literally perusing in the fantasy world of Epcot within Disney, eating our way through the food booths representing different countries in their “Wine and Food Festival.” We returned home to face reality, by discovering that our world had changed within three hours by the purveyors of hate, ISIS.

The 10/14/15 NY Times article, “Three Teams of Coordinated Attacks Carried Out Assault On Paris, Officials Say; Hollande Blames ISIS” by Adam Nossiter, Aurelian Breeden, Katrin Bennhold, provides a timeline for the 11/13/15 attacks:
“As the death toll rose to 129 (132) — with 352 others wounded, 99 of them critically — a basic timeline of the attacks came into view.”

“The Paris prosecutor, François Molins, said the attackers were all armed with assault rifles and suicide vests. Their assault began at 9:20 p.m. Friday, when one terrorist detonated a suicide bomb outside the gates of the soccer stadium on the northern outskirts of Paris. It ended at 12:20 a.m. Saturday when the authorities stormed a concert hall, the Bataclan. One attacker there was killed; two others detonated suicide vests. Inside the hall, 89 people, who had been listening to a rock band, had been shot to death.”

“Mr. Hollande declared three days of national mourning, and said that military troops would patrol the capital. France remained under a nationwide state of emergency.”
It is my hope that the world community will unite to bring the apocalypse to ISIS that they are inviting with their numerous acts of terrorism. They are under the zealous belief that they are being directed by Allah. Only God will set the time for “Armageddon” and those who are deluded into thinking that they can speed up the process are doomed.

This time, the world has been awoken to be willing to act in concert, to annihilate ISIS with its associated demonic acts. I have been hearing the words of saber rattling by too many of our US politicians. This not our war alone. Now, our neighbors have a vested interest in joining together with us to publicly send the message, that the world community, including our Muslim brothers and sisters, are united in our resolve to no longer tolerate this cancer of ISIS.

Dear Oil and Energy Conglomerates, Please join us by acting in the US best national interests by investing in energy renewable resources, cleaner energy production, promoting consumer participation and newer technologies to end forever the US dependency on foreign energy supplies. In addition, please end the impulse to deny that climate change is not man made, despite the preponderance of scientific evidence to the contrary.
Dear Business Leaders, Please do your part to lift up this country’s spirits by partnering and lobbying government entities, to encourage investment in a US infrastructure makeover from high speed rails, port upgrades to allow for the larger container ships; renovations of our airports befitting the the 21st century; to the necessary high quality maintenance of our roads, tunnels, levies and bridges.
Remember that you are a part of this great country. So, growing a strong middle class is also in our nation’s best interests. In your business plans, it would be patriotic to keep jobs within the US, increase employees’ wages as well as optimizing profits for your companies and your shareholders.
Dear Politicians, Please stop pointing fingers to blame the other party and their leaders. There is enough blame for everyone to share. How about showing the world that we can work and stand together as a symbol of strength. Let’s revert to prior practices when we, all agreed that politics stop at our border’s edge.
Dear Voter, Please register to vote in the 2016 elections.

Will they listen? It is doubtful. They will continue to rattle swords though. This was thoughtful and beautifully written

NO, THEY WILL NOT STOP. It is so frustrating to listen to these cowards who can’t stand up to the NRA to protect us from mass shootings (domestic terrorism) but they are so brave to be willing to send other peoples’ children into battle in the middle east. They are afraid of a 5 year old Syrian refugee.
