The republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump will rue the day when he couldn’t resist referring to the democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, as that “Nasty Woman” during the third presidential debate.
Dear Donald Trump, The vast majority of women will be voting for that “Nasty Woman” on November 8, 2016 and will be honored to take on the title of “Nasty Women.” Women who vote in larger numbers than men along with a coalition of Muslims, Hispanics, Blacks, LGBTQ members who are turned off by the republican party, undocumented immigrants, and other minority groups will have their majorities voting for our next democratic First Lady President, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Pundits are saying that the presidential election race is tightening between the two contenders in the toss up states. Donald Trump and his surrogates are touting that their followers are more invested in getting out to vote.
Excuse me, but what they don’t understand, is that the republican party has turned their back on the LGBTQ community and has not been interested in courting those of minority backgrounds. It is the republican party and Mr. Trump’s rhetoric against Hispanics, our Black brothers and sisters, Muslims, undocumented immigrants, the LGBTQ members and women that have incentivized a lot of folks to participate in our great democracy by voting against “The Donald.”
Why am I, as a proud 67 year old Floridian Nasty Woman, voting for Hillary Clinton to be our next U.S president? The list of reasons is virtually endless. The republican party has lost another registered member as I am now in 2016 an “Independent.”
As far as I’m concerned, when the republican party conservative members turned a blind eye to misinformation being spouted by conservative FOX TV talk show hosts like Sean Hannity, radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh, internet bloggers like Matt Drudge, and print media like Breibart, the party lost their soul.
It is through these channels that loyal conservative listeners came to be convinced that President Barack Obama was not a U.S. citizen, but a Muslim who was born in Kenya; that President Obama is coming after everyone’s guns; that climate change is not real; that elections are rigged and that there is widespread voter fraud; that Mexicans are crossing over our southern border in droves; and a myriad of other tall tales, that are counter to reality and to an abundance of facts by credible sources proving otherwise. This is the environment that enabled “The Donald” to become the standard bearer for the republican party as he vies for the position of the U.S. presidency in 2016.
In short, a lot of republican women are no longer proud to be a member of this party especially as we observe a lot of republican male leaders still playing nice with Donald Trump as he continues to flaunt his misogynist ways. As Lucy used to say, “You’ll have a lot of explaining to do.”
My Personal Reasons for Voting for Hillary Clinton
At the October 20, 2016 New York Al Smith Catholic Charity dinner Hillary Clinton joked that while she would never attain sainthood, it is a miracle that she has survived Donald Trump.
I am not voting for Hillary Clinton because she is a saint but a politician who is exceptionally well qualified, competent, professional and who likes to get things done. She has taken on Donald Trump and bested him with panache while he did everything possible within his power to intimidate and bully her in the least sportsmanship type manner. She cleverly out maneuvered Mr. Trump who has triumphed over 17 opponents.
She withstood 11 hours of grilling by U.S. congressional representatives over her actions regarding the Benghazi tragedy. There has been a recent leaked email indicating that both former republican secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice considered the Benghazi hearings to have been a witch hunt.
And she is still standing after 40 years of republicans having created a cottage industry of disinformation, talking points designed to discredit her and multiple investigations bordering on stalking, digging for any misstep that can be used against her.
Frankly, most of her detractors cannot begin to compete with her on any level. As for President Putin, beware. Hillary Clinton will not be easily fooled or manipulated.
On 9 /17/ 2015, Candace TX took on the challenge of countering the republican right’s talking point question, “What has Hillary Clinton accomplished in the past 40 years?” The following is what she listed in the Daily Kos blog.
