Dear Followers and Readers, I am off to join in the Women’s March in Washington DC, scheduled for January 21, 2017. Then I will be off to Chicago to visit with family for a few days. I am looking forward to these adventures even though I will be freezing my tootsies.

For my Washington DC trip, I purchased my airline ticket ages ago. Normally, because I am a retired airline employee, I travel stand-by, but in this case, I was not taking any chances. I know nothing more than I am supposed to meet others at 10:00 am at the Washington Mall area, specifically at the Independence Avenue and Third Street SW, near the U.S. Capitol. And yes, I will blog on this tremendous event.

After a few days in Washington DC, I head to Chicago to celebrate my granddaughter turning a great big 3 years old.

This is what I could be facing in Chicago (Oak Park). So far, the weather has been in the 50’s.

For a few days, I will not be blogging. This is a shout out to all my followers and readers, thank you for taking time to peruse my posts. I will be back to my usual schedule sometime during the first week in February.

      Thanks for the good wishes. When I took the SW Airlines flight around 6:00 am, about 3/4 .of the passengers were women who are planning to attend the Women’s March. We had a great time chatting. I felt sorry for the poor guy next to me, but fortunately he was not a DT supporter.

      I am staying in College Park, near Washington DC and a metro station. I was able to arrange for a shuttle from the BWI airport in Baltimore which took me directly to my destination for $33.00. A cab would have cost $85.00.

      The WX is supposed to be in the 50’s tomorrow. So far, so good.
