The Russian Saga investigations will be front and center, starting Wednesday (5/3/17) when the FBI Director James Comey is expected to participate in an open meeting with US Congressional representatives; followed on Thursday by a closed meeting with Director Comey and NSA’s Admiral Mike Rogers. Then next Monday (5/7/17) Sally Yates, the Attorney General who was fired by the White House will finally testify at a US Senate hearing. She is expected to tell a different version about what led to the ouster of the president’s National Security Adviser, General Mike Flynn than what the White House had previously shared.
Here is the rest of the story…
On 5/2/17, Jim Sciutto, Manu Raju and Pamela Brown of CNN News penned the following article, “Sources: Former Acting AG Yates to contradict administration about Flynn at hearing.”
Excerpts:
“Former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates is prepared to testify before a Senate panel next week that she gave a forceful warning to the White House regarding then-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn nearly three weeks before he was fired, contradicting the administration’s version of events, sources familiar with her account tell CNN.”

“Her previously scheduled appearance in front of the House intelligence committee was canceled by its chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-California, who said he wanted to hear first in a classified setting from FBI Director James Comey and National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers. Nunes’ move to cancel the hearing sparked outcry from Democrats, who believed he was trying to shield the White House from damaging new revelations.”
“Her appearance will bookend a week’s worth of testimony and inquiry about the investigation, starting with Wednesday’s (5/3/17) Senate judiciary committee hearing with Comey, where Russia will be a big topic of discussion. Comey is also expected to meet behind closed doors Thursday with members of the House intelligence committee.”“The Senate judiciary subcommittee hearing Yates’ testimony is also seeking to have former national security advisor Susan Rice testify before the committee next week, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, the chairman of the panel, told CNN.”
“Democrats will push Comey on what has been learned about campaign contact, according to Democrats on the committee. Sens. Chris Coons of Delaware and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut say they will also seek answers on why Comey spoke publicly about an investigation into Hillary Clinton but not about the Russia investigation that kicked off in the summer of the campaign. Comey, according to sources familiar with his testimony, is looking to set the record straight on this matter.”
Can you imagine the inner conflict of members of congress that are members of the GOPTP? I suspect that most know that they have a duty to remove the tRump from office, and while it an unpleasant task, it will need to happen. They also should have well founded reason to suspect that the VP is up to his neck in the cover up of the Russian scandal, and as such will need to go as well! Which in turn takes them to the dilemma of having Sen. Hatch of Utah taking the reins of the government. With his political history, that is not going to be an easy sell for many members of the GOPTP… With all the political baggage that is carried by each member of their party, is it conceivable that one of the Janitors in the white house will be the most qualified to hold the office? 😉

Dear Crustyolemothman,
They are acting like a bunch of weenies. The chair of the House Oversight Committee Chaffetz is running away as fast as he can. Attorney General Sessions publicly announced Monday that he is deciding to recuse himself from any investigation involving General Flynn.
They know what’s coming.

Dear Roger,
He was mentioning a future government shutdown. Whatever it is, it is definitely coming as he is the king of deflection.

Gronda, people who tell the truth under oath likely scare the crap out of our President who treats truth as a commodity to be traded. Keith
