While you were sleeping, around 10:08 pm on Sunday evening, October 1, 2017, a local 64 year old man, Stephen C. Paddock fired a sub machine gun from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel tower, located  on the popular Las Vegas strip where fans were attending a country music festival concert.  There have been at least 58 fatalities and more than 500 peoples injured. News outlets are reporting that the gunman is known to local enforcement. He did not survive.

Here is what is known as of 6:00 am eastern time on 10/2/17…

On October 2, 2017, Gerry Mullany and Russell Goldman of the new York Times penned the following report, “Las Vegas Shooting Near Mandalay Bay Casino Kills More Than 50.”

“A gunman in a Las Vegas hotel opened fire Sunday (10/01/17) night at a concert outside, sending thousands of people fleeing as SWAT units searched for the attacker. More than 20 people were killed and more than 100 others injured, hospital officials said.”

“The shooting happened near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Video posted online showed the country singer Jason Aldean performing outside the hotel at Route 91 Harvest, a country music festival, interrupted by the sound of automatic gunfire. The music stopped, and concertgoers ducked for cover. “Get down,” one shouted. “Stay down,” screamed another.”

“Several SWAT teams were sent to the hotel immediately after the first reports of the shooting at 10:08 p.m., and officers reported being pinned down by gunfire, according to emergency radio traffic. Shortly before midnight the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that “one suspect is down,” and soon thereafter the police said they did not believe there were any more active gunmen.”

“Video of the shooting captured nine seconds of rapid-fire, continuous bursts, followed by 37 seconds of silence from the weapon amid panicked screaming. The barrage of gunfire then erupted again in at least two more rounds, both shorter than the first.”

“The police reported clearing out the Mandalay Bay’s 29th floor and working their way up to the 32nd floor. A police Twitter post described reports of an “active shooter” near or around the Mandalay Bay casino.”

Video from the shooting showed Mr. Aldean, the final performer of the night, running off the stage as the gunfire erupted.

“Two concertgoers, Robyn and Matt Webb, described hearing round after round of gunfire.”

“It just kept coming,” Robyn Webb told The Las Vegas Review-Journal. “It was relentless.”

“They said they saw about 20 people bleeding in the street.”

“That’s when we knew for sure it was real,” Matt Webb said.”

“The police reported closing off about a mile of Las Vegas Boulevard and asked the public to steer clear of the area.”

“Police radio reports suggested that at least three people were transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center for treatment. The police were told not to bring additional casualties — unless the injuries were life-threatening — to University Medical Center, another nearby hospital, because it was at capacity.”

McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas said that some flights destined for the airport were diverted because of police activity. The airport is just east of the Mandalay hotel, and after the shooting there were reports of people fleeing the concert by running onto an airport runway.

“The hotel itself was placed on virtual lockdown after the shooting, guests said.”

“We went into the hotel and they started shutting down casinos,” Todd Price, a guest of Mandalay Bay, told CNN. “We tried to get into our rooms, and they shut down the elevators and started to get everybody out.”

“The Route 91 Harvest Festival bills itself as “three days of country music on the Vegas Strip,” and Sunday night’s performance was the last of the festival. The site of the concert, the Las Vegas Village and Festival Grounds, run by MGM Resorts, sprawls over 15 acres and has a capacity of 40,000 people. The festival’s website said this year’s three-day concert was sold out.”

    • Dear Mazz Ahmad,

WELCOME!! This is so shocking, it is almost unbelievable. God will have to bless all those who were present.

Thank you for sharing this post with your reblog.

      • (part 2) and stayed for a few days in Las Vegas.
20,000 people packed into a venue; they wouldn’t have stood a chance, anyone with or without military training could wreak havoc. Every bullet would find someone as the casualty list shows.
This will now be the nightmare scenario for every venue every gathering, Lord knows who will be inflamed by this act.
This is part of a malaise which is infecting all communities all across the world, some under the guise of political motivation.

  1. Gronda, this breaks your heart. People like any of us just going out for a good time to enjoy a concert and this happens. I kept thinking it could be my kids there. It also shows you no place is safe from a motivated gunman. And, that is sad. My thoughts are with the victims, injured and their families. Keith

    • Dear Keith,

This is beyond heart breaking. It is anger provoking. This puts the lie to the NRA’s main talking point that we need guns to protect ourselves. Having guns would not have protected any of these victims as a madman perches on the 32nd floor to fires a machine gun down on innocents.

      Hugs, Gronda

  2. I know we must all be sick at the continuous killing these days, it comes from every quarter. My first question would be, why is a sub machine gun in private hands ? Surely all automatic weapons that can fire continuous bursts should be in the hands of the armed forces. This is sick, to be attacking innocent families enjoying a family gathering at a music festival and yet it’s another homegrown terrorist and not a Jihadi looking for revenge for the innocent civilians killed in Syria. Isn’t it time to revisit gun control laws again?

    • Dear David Prosser,

It is sick. But this is the USA where the National Rifle Association wields a ton of power over republican party legislators. Because of this organization which has become a gun manufacturers’ mouthpiece, the US Congress cannot even pass the most sensible gun regulations.

The republican party lawmakers have sold their souls to big money donors like the NRA and they have more blood on their hands than foreign terrorists do.

      Hugs, Gronda

    • Dear Suzanne,

You nailed it. None of those victims could have defended themselves with possession of a gun when the shooter is firing sub machine gun down on peoples as he is perched from a position on the 32nd floor.

      Hugs, Gronda

  3. According to many right-wingers, this massacre is a false flag event “designed to strip Second Amendment gun rights from Americans”.

According to Knight, the government — and especially the Democrats — are suspected of planning “false flag” events to influence legislation in Congress.

“Now we have some massive legislation that is working its way through a Republican Congress and we have the largest shooting,” he concluded. “Maybe it’s just a coincidence. Maybe it’s just serendipity for those who want gun control. But I am a bit more skeptical of these things.”

I find the whole argument about gun control sadly ironic… that a lone “gunman” would shoot up fellow citizens in order to oppose legislation that take away Americans’ 2nd amendment rights. This all seems so surreal to me, but that’s what many conservatives believe.

These shootings do exhibit telltale signs of a classic government sponsored false flag operation though. *Sigh* 😦

    • Dear !arthUnited,

This is not a false flag operation. There are 58 fatalities that are real and a dead gun man. Conservatives know they’ve lost the argument that having a gun is a form of protection,. In this case, it would have done nada. You can’t protect yourself as someone is shooting peoples like they are ants, with a machine type gun from the 32 floor of an hotel.

      Hugs, Gronda

      • Hi Gronda, a false flag operation may or may not involve casualties, and it doesn’t just mean a planned fake event with crisis actors. The deaths may very well be real civilians. However the narrative is controlled and executed by the government – in this case to create a massacre in order to raise support of gun control and possibly repealing the 2nd Amendment.

“False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as if they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than one’s own. False flag operations are not limited to war and counter-insurgency operations, and have been used in peace-time; for example, during Italy’s strategy of tension.

The term comes from the old days of wooden ships, when one ship would hang the flag of its enemy before attacking another ship in its own navy. Because the enemy’s flag was hung instead of the flag of the real country of the attacking ship, it was called a “false flag” attack.”

In cases like this where a lone gunman, usually a CIA enlisted patsy, is charged with committing mass murder, conveniently suicided and found with overwhelming evidence planted near him ie his identification, plenty of arms in his hotel room, fake eyewitnesses etc, with minimal investigation. This ready made event was staged, executed and pinned on this poor sod without due process or trial. To keep the gunman (captured alive) would be too messy an operation – uncertain variables arise, like purported lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald in the case of JFK assassination. There were way too many unanswered questions!

Government operatives who carry out these events are nowhere to be found, or possibly in collusion with local police force. Media stooges blindly report whatever narrative the government tells them to air. We the ppl consume the news without question, and believe whatever spin they want you to think. It’s a form of mind control and socio-political manipulation to succumb to a certain agenda or gov’t control.

LOL, they even got ISIS to take credit for the massacre, inject a hint of Islamophobia within the narrative to keep the illegal immigration/ terrorist issue relevant. Over time, ppl become desensitized to these killing sprees as they become the new norm. Life becomes a farcical Kafkaesque joke. 😦

        • Gronda, if I may weigh in, those who cite Alex Jones as a source do a disservice to their argument as his broadcast lacks credibility. We must remember this is the same man who said Sandy Hook was a conspiracy. We have people dead and injured and to believe that a legitimate US entity would risk everything by conspiring to massacre people does a disservice to their memory. Further, ISIS laying false claim is not unusual, as they have tended to do that of late.

We have a gun governance problem in this country and trying to prevent a motivated lone gunmen is difficult, even with our capable law enforcement. I think we need to grieve with these families and friends who lost folks, but honor them by introducing better gun governance laws. To deny diligent discussion with our lawmakers acting like parents and grandparents is a disservice to our country and memory. The sad truth is this will likely happen again, but we need to do something to prevent more.

I am sorry for the soapbox. Keith

        • @Keith – Alex Jones offer an alternative point of view, which is not what i ascribe to most of the time. In this case i happen to agree with his preliminary assessment of a possible false flag operation b/c i see all the classic telltale signs of a setup. Do i have definitive proof of this – no, not yet.

As i’ve replied to Gronda, yes this is pure speculation on my part at this point. I tend not to simply accept the official narrative provided by the media, which serve a particular agenda. Any rational investigator of a news event will look at all angles, whether they agree with the issue (gun control) or not. I try to be as objective as possible, examine the evidence when it comes up, and not get caught up by the emotional trigger which may cloud judgment. Analyse any situation and ask yourself, who stands to benefit from these mass killings? I could name a few gov’t agencies.

        • Thanks for your response on Alex Jones. Mr. Jones does more than offer an alternative point of view. Two examples beyond the insulting Sandy Hook hoax accusation. First, for several days he spoke of chemically laced water systems to make Americans sissies and homosexuals. After filling his viewers with this, he started advertising his own water filtration system that would take these chemicals out of the water. Second, he often peddles product with an alleged healthcare expert by his side who he touts with all kinds of credentials which have been refuted by at least one university. I am afraid Jones is far more than an alternative source of information. He is a con artist peddling product at s much higher cost than can be purchased elsewhere. Keith

        • @Keith we both agree that AJ is a self serving loudmouth buffoon at times, and i’m well aware of his sensationalist journalism. I’m not so much concerned about the messenger than the message. There are so many disconcerting signs about this event, they way police and media are presenting this as an open shut case… so let’s ban all guns and this will all go away. In reality it’s not that simple, gov’t want to take away our 2nd Amendment Constitutional rights… that’s exactly what our wise forefathers had warned us about:
beware the tyranny of ALL governments, we the ppl have the responsibility to keep our “rulers” in check, that takes diligence and resistance, stop the state from eroding our fundamental rights!

At this point, I do not believe that Mr. Paddock acted alone, all signs point to a massive gov’t conspiracy, and this poor sod was the unfortunate scapegoat in this false flag event.

History is replete with false flag operations that the US gov’t readily admitted to… due to the freedom of information act. Just do a little research and take the blinders off. World gov’ts are not as benign nor benevolent as we’re conditioned to think.

Latest breaking: Las Vegas: Did Stephen Paddock leave a SUICIDE NOTE? Letter found next to his dead body

Really?! Oh how convenient, a written testimonial! Move along folks, nothing to see here…. case closed.

  4. I agree, there is no definitive evidence yet, too early to say. All i said was this massacre exhibit certain signs of a false flag operation, as highlighted in my previous comment. We’ll see how this narrative develops.
