Recently, the republican US Senate’s Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky presented Democrats with a gift by stating out loud in public, that the reason for the US increase of 17% in the US deficit from 2017, is due to the governments spending in entitlement programs like Social Security, Medicare Medicaid.
Of course, Senator McConnell never mentioned the GOP tax cuts that benefited the wealthy, rich corporations and themselves, but which was paid for in part by adding $1.5 trillion dollars to the US deficit over a 10 year time period.

The Democrats need to drive home that we are for saving folks’ healthcare access, mandated coverage for preexisting conditions, protection of union rights, the increase minimum wage rates to a living wage at around the minimum of $15.00 per hour, better access to affordable, high quality childcare so that parents can afford to work, serious plans to mitigate against the increased costs to middle class/ poor for losses due to increase in storms, their increased intensity with increased costs to property, loss of lives, loss of power for weeks. This is just for starters.
I want Democrats to get out there showing that they give a damn about their constituents, that they are fighting for average Joe folks to have a better quality of life, hope for their children as well as being against President Trump’s push to drive this country back into the 1950s.
The republican President Donald J. Trump is not going out almost every night to do his campaign rallies for nothing. Yes, he is disseminating hate speech against the Democrats, describing them as evil, out to destroy the Americans’ way of life. He is piling on their fear of immigration by describing those refugees (Caravan From Honduras attempting to cross bridge from Guatemala into Mexico as they head to US border) attempting to file for asylum, a legal action, as criminals, invaders carrying diseases, who plan to enter the US to vote for democrats. This is of course, a lie but his base of followers are buying his shtick.
His latest whopper about the GOP plans for a huge middle class tax cut before November 6, 2018 which is an obvious falsehood as the US Congress is out on recess until after November 6.
But his message is simple, Jobs VS. Mobs.
The latest polls indicate that his approval numbers are ticking upwards at about 44-45%. The polls measuring his base followers’ enthusiasm for getting out to vote is almost at a parody with Democrats and other ‘Never Trumpers.’ He’s successfully cutting into the Democrats’ “Blue Wave’ hopes.

These November 2018 elections are pivotal. Democrats, there are two weeks left before the mid term US elections end on the 6th of November 2018. Where are those Ads warning Americans about the GOP plans to cut social security, Medicare, Medicaid to pay for their 2017 tax cuts for the rich.
Where are the Ads fighting against the president describing Moms fighting for their children as mobs.
Why aren’t the Democrats not putting out Ads pushing back against the GOP attempts to frame women protesting against GOP actions/ policies as MOBS. These caring women should be portrayed as Moms’ Mob protecting children (MMPC), as that is exactly what they were doing. The number one reason for my being against the recent confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court had to do with his history for partisan-ship. I have no doubt that he’ll be ruling against cases pertaining to the ACA Affordable Care Act with its pre-existing condition mandate; and that he’ll be resistant to any sensible restrictions being imposed on the 2nd amendment having to do with gun owners’ rights.
Moms have every right to be outraged as they observe the bully-in-chief, the world’s worst role model for both their sons and daughters daring to call them a mob. He should not be the one getting to define/ frame their behaviors. There’s no way Moms want their sons to emulate the president’s behaviors.
Remember M.A.D.D. Mothers against Drunk Drivers ( nonprofit organization ) and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Both started as grass root organizations and both have had success in fighting, protesting for these causes. These are not mobs.
Where are the Democratic Ads showing Tea Party protests, President Trump rallies where he promotes violence against the press, for instance.
Gronda, people need to pay attention to McConnell’s words and the tax bill adding at least $1.5 trillion to the debt, which may be low. The debt was projected to increase by $10 trillion from $21 to $31 trillion by 2027, so the tax bill was malfeasance.
McConnell said the deficit increase is due spending and not the tax cuts. But, in a growing economy, the tax revenue was flat. The CBO said we received $166 billion less in tax revenue than we would have before the tax bill. What should also be of concern is the increase in interest cost on debt which increased from $266 billion to $310 billion.
So, yes spending is a problem, but we cannot cut our way out of debt. We need more revenue, not less as well as less spending. The math will not work otherwise. Keith

Dear Keith,
I always appreciate your input of useful, pertinent information.
Like you, I think that the bipartisan bill Simpson-Boles should have been made into law.
The republicans have their corporate donors pushing them in a direction that is counter to the best interests of this country, pushing ideas like cutting back on entitlement spending that they’ve always hated. What they don’t get is that they are part of a democracy and that their demands are both unrealistic and unpopular which in the long run, will end up in the ousting of many of their bought and paid for GOP members in the US Congress.
Hugs, Gronda
