Dear Republicans, You have so many irons in the fire that you think those who are part of “The Resistance” can’t keep up, but we are up to the task. While you may pass your 2017 Donor Relief Act (republicans tax cut bill), stop net neutrality protections and end the Obamacare mandate, every middle class family will know the following:
1.) The Donor Relief Act or the republicans’ tax cuts bill favoring the wealthy will add a minimum of $1.5 trillion dollars to the deficit at a time where the stock market economy (only 52% of population owns stock) is booming but middle and poor income folks have seen stagnant wages for ages because rich corporations awash in profits and sitting on trillions of dollars in cash have decided against sharing their record breaking profits/ spoils with their front-line workers.
As per a 11/10/17 Reuters report by David Morgan, “The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan budget watchdog in Washington, on Friday called a Senate Republican tax plan a “fatally flawed budget buster,” likening it to Republican legislation in the House of Representatives that the House tax committee has approved.”
“Both measures would add $1.5 trillion over 10 years to the annual budget deficit and the $20 trillion national debt, according to congressional tax analysts.”
2.) The tax cuts will not spur the economy in the form of increase in GDP( Gross National Product), nor will it increase significantly the number of living wage jobs( over $15.00 per hour plus benefits). Why? The US economy is a consumer driven economy. When consumer demand is up, companies must gear up to meet the demand. But this means that somehow, more monies must be had by the middle and poor class of folks so that they will indeed spend monies on essentials which is not what the giving more mullah to the rich will do as they already have more than they could possibly need.
3.) In order to give more monies in the form of the 2017 Donor Relief Act (republicans’ tax cuts plan), the republicans have amended their bill to include the ending of the Obamacare mandate which requires everyone to have healthcare insurance or pay a fine. This allows the republicans to have access to $300 + billion more dollars at the expense of 13 million folks loosing access to affordable healthcare insurance while increasing average folks insurance premiums by 10%. This amendment drives a stake into the heart of Obamacare/ (ACA) Affordable Care Act.
4.) The companies like AT&T, Comcast, TWC Time Warner Cable, Charter Spectrum, and Verizon are pushing hard to end the net-neutrality protections established by the democratic President Barack Obama’s administration. Net Neutrality is the basic principle that prohibits internet service providers like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon from speeding up, slowing down or blocking any content, applications or websites you want to use. It is easy to take Net Neutrality for granted as that is the way that the internet has always worked. With the help of the republican President Donald Trump’s pick to head the FCC, Ajit Pai, his 5 member commission of which 3 are republicans are set to roll back the Obama era protections to keep “net neutrality” in play on December 14, 2017.
This is what rolling back net Neutrality regulations will look like (Based on past history when Net neutrality regulations were not yet instituted):
Alternate news sources:
Here is a new favorite podcast that I am following. The news content is outstanding. I was looking for a reliable source that would keep me up to date while reducing my dependency on cable news channels. The site is termed Crooked.com, Pod Save America Archives | Crooked Media https://crooked.com/podcast-series/pod-save-america, and the most recent podcast that I listened to is: “The Donor Relief Act of 2017.”
Pro-Net-Neutrality ISP Google Fiber
Google has sent me a message confirming that Google Fiber will be a force in the near future in the Tampa Bay area. Its demise has been vastly exaggerated. The business plan will no longer include bundling of both TV and Internet Service but the fastest least expensive internet service only. Since Google is a strong advocate for “Net Neutrality,” it will be getting my business. As long as I have alternate sources instead of cable news, I will definitely end any subscriptions with the big guy ISPs which are advocating against “Net-Neutrality” protections.
For those who are part of “the Resistance” it is time to man the phones, fax, tweet, email, send postcards to our US Congress legislators. Demand that lawmakers NOT pass their 2017 Donor Relief Act (republicans’tax cuts bill for the rich); NOT include the end of the Obamacare mandate as part of its tax cuts plans; and that net neutrality is NOT ended on December 14, 2017 by the FCC commission as is currently planned.
Read the footnoted article below about FCC plans to approve conservative leaning Sinclair Broadcasting purchase of many more TV entities where the consumer will not be informed of any conservative bias as in FOX TV. They will think that they are simply watching local TV news. Include this issue in your complaints to decision makers in the US Congress and elsewhere.
TO FAX: Resistbot will do it all for you. Text “RESIST” to 50409 or message Resistbot on Facebook and it will walk you through the steps to fax your Senator and will tell you when your fax has been delivered.
